Ridge Crest Receives $45,000 for New Generator!

The Connelly Foundation and Fox Chase Charitable Foundation fund Ridge Crest Generator

LifePath’s largest facility, Ridge Crest, is located in Sellersville, Pa and is home to 31 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with profound medical needs. Many of the individuals who live at our Ridge Crest facility rely on 24-hour life-sustaining electrical equipment in order to maintain their daily regimen and well-being.

Generators at this location are an absolute necessity in order to keep all medical technology free from disruption in the event of an emergency.

Ridge Crest was built in 1974, and has had the same generator ever since. Located in the basement of the building, the enormous machine provided reliable back-up power to Ridge Crest and its residents for nearly 45 years. Recently, however, the head on the backup generator became pitted and warped and deemed irreplaceable.

Being without a generator presents potential life-threatening conditions to the people at Ridge Crest. Until funding for a new generator and accompanying installation fees were secured, LifePath had to rent generators on a month-to-month basis. This caused a financial burden to LifePath.

However, in May, 2017 the Connelly Foundation and Fox Chase Charitable Foundation granted LifePath a total of $45,000 toward the cost of a new generator and installation.

Thank you to the Connelly Foundation and to the Fox Chase Charitable Foundation for your generosity to LifePath’s Ridge Crest facility! You have kept our lights on and our hearts beating!
